Marine harvest Mangos
Swindon Supermarine moved to within three points of the play-off spots after they romped to a 4-1 victory over Mangotsfield in Southern League Division One South & West.
Goals from Ash Edenborough, Kyle Lapham, Josh Parsons and substitute Joey Tustain gave the South Marston outfit a fourth straight win and they moved to nearer the play-off zone as a result.
The Mangotsfield side featured a number of ex-Chippenham players, but Marine sporting new kit with sponsors Excalibur emblazoned across their backs, surged ahead minutes in when wide man Josh Morse found Edenborough and he beat stopper Kevin Sawyer with a clinical finish.
The second came just before half time from the unlikely source of Lapham, as the right-back unleashed a left-footed shot that went into in the bottom corner of the Mango’s net.
A Parsons free kick took the score to 3-0 shortly after with a moment of outstanding quality. The forward smashing a curving, dipping effort beyond Sawyer from distance.
Shaun Lamb pulled one back soon after the restart but Tustain regained the 3 goal margin in the closing stages when his deflected effort found the back of the net.
Marine left-back Mark Flanagan was given the man of the match award on his Debut.
