‘Much-a-do about Nothing’, as the Bards men bow out 3-1
The Bards men came down from the North to the Webb’s Wood in their first season in the ‘brave new world’ of the Southern Football League Div.1 South & West.
The League’s new boys saw their hopes of winning vanish ‘into thin air’ as Ferris and Jackson netted before half time.
Town battled back, and ‘As good luck would have it’ for Town Gregory scored from the spot on 56 mins.
Outstanding player of the match Kaydon Jackson, ‘in a twinkling of an eye’, netted from the spot in the 70th minute to kill off the game.
(My thanks to Bill Shakespeare for some ‘quotes’.)
