The following puck drop left the ‘Cats with the 5 on 4 advantage and before long, Sam Bullas then made it 3-0 with close range shot between the pads.

A dominant period was then made all the more defining, as Wildcat defenseman Sam Godfrey would see his blue line effort sail high toward goal and over the glove of netminder Damien King.

A powerplay goal for the Phantoms quickly opened the second period, with Darius Pliskauskas collecting close range to open his side’s account.

However the home side soon struck back, this time with Kostal connecting on a one timed effort for a 5-1 score.©calyx_Pictures_wildcats v phamtoms_1848

Before long the ‘Cats soon had their sixth through import Henri Sandvik, with the in form Finn collecting on the back post with a tapped in effort.

With just three minutes left Swindon then rounded off the period in style as an Aku Pekkarinen saw his blue line shot beat King once more.

The final third period would show a solid Swindon Wildcats performance defensively and close out convincing 7-1 home victory.

The win this night now puts the Wildcats fifth in the league and in a good position for the ever loomi©calyx_Pictures_wildcats v phamtoms_1678ng playoff draw.
