Swindon’s football season got underway as the town’s two major clubs took to the pitch at the Webb’s Wood Stadium at South Marston. Town, with the new manager David Flitcroft in his first game in charge, came out winners 7-1. Gallery:

Swindon Town Ladies bagged their first win in the league with a 4-3 win over Portsmouth Ladies. The winner came in the last minute much to the delight of the ladies in red. Gallery:

A valiant effort effort The Valiants but Town are victorious.

A quiet first half ended 0-0 but a quick goal in the second half by Brad Barry on 47 minutes stirred the mix and livened the game up. This was The Valiants first defeat in the league, and also the first league goal they have conceded. Gallery:

Robins land one on The Spireites.

Swindon Town kept a clean sheet and produced a win against former Town manager Danny Wilson’s Chesterfield. The deadlock was broken by Yaser Kasim’s second half goal; his first this season. Full gallery.
